Please do not wait until 3 messages in to get to the root of your questions. Myself (and recruiters especially) get contacted by several people a day. Tell me how badass your are in summarized-detail. These one-word taglines and skills don't tell anything about your awesome personality and experience. Don't be vague and say: "Skills: C#, leadership, management, design." Sell yourself, and explain yourself. If you have worked at 5 companies previously, explain what you did. Your Work Experience section on LinkedIn, that space can be used to boast about yourself. Respect my time (and yours) by making sure you've considered these critical things: I get over 15+ messages a day, so it's getting difficult to address everyone in a timely manner. ![]() Drastically different responsibilities and skillsets. It's not going to be a good look to recruiters to see that you're applying for a mid-level Narrative Design role, but your self-marketing screams Producer. ![]() ![]() Make sure your PPR (Profile, Portfolio, and Resume) are in the ballpark of whatever roles you're applying for. ![]()
